Learning objectives.

BIM is a comprehensive approach of combining factors such as technology, processes, and people in order to improve productivity for the design and construction industry.

BIM has been implemented in many construction projects in Vietnam and will be more widely applied in the near future when the government officially mandate regulations to apply BIM by 2021.

This course aims to provide the most general information about BIM to help learners understand some of the basic BIM knowledge to prepare the learners to master the BIM process in the immediate future.

This course is for:

  • All personnel in the design, construction, and real estate industry.

  • Students major in design, construction or project management.

  • Anyone who cares about BIM.

  • This course is intended to help students:

    • Understand the origins and history of BIM's development.

    • Understanding BIM concepts in the world.

The objectives of this course are for the participant to learn:

  • The fundamentals of BIM and its historical precedents.

  • The understanding of basic BIM principles.

  • The importance of components and data in a 3D BIM model.

  • The current use of BIM in practice and the federated model.

  • The basic data integration of a 3D BIM model.

  • The current use of BIM models in practice and construction activities.

  • The understanding and future implications of modeling software and hardware.

Elements of our BIM course.

The main strategy for each session is through online lectures.

  • The first part of the session will be the lecture by the instructor on a specific topic.

  • The second part is for the student to ask the instructor questions and look to apply the use of BIM in their everyday project activities.

Participate and Share Ideas:

Keep in mind that most of the learning will come from the discussion and communication of others through the knowledge shared. Since the session is only online, it is important everyone does their part and participate and discusses as many ideas and solutions as possible with each other through everyone's unique experiences by all means possible (online, chat rooms, meetings, etc.)

To get the most out of this course, be sure to get involved, participate, question and stay active in all of the upcoming courses by TBFA.

Course record.

Once completed, the participant will be added to the TBFA’s Members’ Directory of officially qualified individuals who have completed the course.

This database can be used by the participants to keep track of completed courses and certificates as well as receive transcripts. It is also a way for others to verify and identify the authenticity of those who have completed the required certificate.
