OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MR. HAN MAI HOANG
Founder | Chairman
With over 15 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Mr. Hoang co-founded THE BIM FACTORY with the mission of creating the most forward-thinking, highly-skilled BIM consultancy company in Vietnam.
Mr. Hoang’s primary professional goal has always been to collectively fuse the practices of architectural design, construction, and management, which have long been divided, into a unified and cohesive BIM process.
A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Master's program, Mr. Hoang's primary focus was, and still is to this day, on Advanced Construction Technology. During his study at MIT, Mr. Hoang was a recipient of the Research Scholarship Award from the Design and Computation Group with a concentration in BIM technology, rapid prototyping, and CAD/CAM technologies.
Along with various design and construction experiences, Mr. Hoang served as a part-time Adjunct Professor at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in 2006.
Mr. Hoang has been practicing BIM since 2006 and in 2011, he was one of the co-founders of the first BIM company in Vietnam. Mr. Hoang currently sits on the board of the Vietnam BIM Steering Committee for the Institute of Construction Economics, a division of the Ministry of Construction which controls and regulates the use of BIM for design, engineering, and construction in Vietnam.
